These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the REG Institute mobile application, website (smartstudypoints.com), and all associated services including but not limited to: Education Shorts, study materials (videos, PDFs, text notes), current affairs updates, quizzes, and personalized learning features.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using REG Institute, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the App or our services.
These terms apply to all users, including students, educators, and any other visitors. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Nature of Service
REG Institute is an educational technology platform designed to help students and competitive exam aspirants learn more effectively. Our services include:
Education Shorts: Bite-sized video lessons (typically 60-120 seconds) covering concepts from various subjects.
Study Materials: Downloadable PDF notes, video lectures, text summaries, and topic-wise resources.
Current Affairs: Daily news updates, PIB summaries, monthly magazines, and GK compilations for exams like UPSC, SSC, Banking, Railways, and State exams.
Quizzes & Assessments: Topic-wise tests, mock exams, and performance analytics.
We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date educational content. However, we do not guarantee that all information is error-free or that the App will meet your specific examination requirements. You are encouraged to cross-reference important information with official sources.
3. User Accounts & Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features (saving shorts, downloading PDFs, bookmarking current affairs, tracking progress), you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.
3.2 Account Responsibility
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (email/phone and password).
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Notify us immediately at support@smartstudypoints.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent activity.
3.3 Account Deletion
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting our support. Upon deletion, your personal data and saved content will be permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. App Permissions & Device Access
To deliver our educational features effectively, REG Institute requires certain permissions on your Android device. By using the App, you grant us permission to request and use these permissions as described:
INTERNET — To stream videos, download study materials, and sync your progress.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — To optimize offline learning and detect connectivity.
VIBRATE — For optional haptic feedback during quiz interactions.
AD_ID — To show relevant educational ads via trusted ad networks.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To send daily current affairs alerts, quiz reminders, and new content notifications (you can disable this in device settings).
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android ≤ 12) — To save PDF notes and videos for offline viewing.
You may revoke any permission at any time via your device settings. Core features like reading current affairs and watching previews remain functional without optional permissions.
5. Intellectual Property & Content Usage
5.1 Our Ownership
All content provided within REG Institute, including but not limited to: Education Shorts (videos), curated current affairs summaries, quiz questions, PDF layouts, graphics, logos, text compilations, and app interface — is the intellectual property of REG Institute / Codeleka or its content licensors. This content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
5.2 Limited License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the App for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may:
Watch Education Shorts and video lectures.
Download PDF notes for offline personal study.
Save and bookmark current affairs articles within the App.
5.3 Prohibited Actions
You agree NOT to:
Copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our content (including PDFs and videos) for commercial purposes or redistribution.
Sell, resell, or sublicense access to the App or its content.
Use any automated system (bots, scrapers) to extract data from the App.
Upload or share harmful content, malware, or engage in any activity that disrupts the App's functionality.
Impersonate another person or provide false account information.
5.4 Third-Party Content
Some content (e.g., embedded YouTube videos, news snippets) may be sourced from third parties. We do not claim ownership over third-party materials, and such content is subject to the respective owner's terms. REG Institute is not affiliated with any news agency or AI company unless explicitly stated.
6. Advertising & Third-Party Services
REG Institute is a free-to-use platform supported by advertisements. We work with trusted advertising partners, including but not limited to:
Google AdMob
Meta Audience Network (Facebook)
Other programmatic ad networks focused on educational audiences.
These third-party ad networks may collect data using the Advertising ID (Ad ID) and device information to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising via your device's Google Settings (Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
Additionally, the App may contain links to external websites (e.g., reference articles, YouTube videos). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or availability of those third-party sites. Your interactions with such sites are governed by their own terms and policies.
7. Payments & Premium Features (If Any)
Currently, REG Institute offers most features for free. In the future, we may introduce optional premium subscriptions (e.g., ad-free experience, exclusive PDFs, advanced analytics). Any paid features will be clearly communicated, and you will have the option to purchase via Google Play Billing. All payments are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify pricing with prior notice.
8. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer
8.1 No Warranty
REG Institute and its content are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
The educational content will guarantee success in any examination.
Current affairs information is 100% accurate or real-time (please cross-check with official sources for critical decisions).
8.2 Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, REG Institute, its publisher (Codeleka), affiliates, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, study time, exam results, or any other personal or financial loss arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) or ₹100 (Indian Rupees), whichever is less.
8.3 User Responsibility
You agree to use REG Institute responsibly and at your own risk. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from misinterpretation of study materials or reliance on current affairs content for legal/financial decisions.
9. User Conduct & Prohibited Activities
You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You shall not:
Upload, post, or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on others' rights.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App.
Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
Share fake or misleading current affairs information within community features (if available).
Attempt to bypass any restrictions or security features of the App.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conduct rules, without prior notice.
10. Modifications to Terms & App
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational needs. When we make material changes, we will notify you via:

Updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page.
Your continued use of REG Institute after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App (including Education Shorts, PDF libraries, or current affairs sections) at any time without notice.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of REG Institute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi, India.
For users outside India, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of Indian courts and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum.
12. Eligibility & Age Restrictions
REG Institute is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age (or higher if required by local law). If you are under 13, you may not create an account or use the App without parental consent. By using REG Institute, you represent that you meet these age requirements. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users found to be underage without parental permission.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to REG Institute immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
Breach of these Terms.
Violation of applicable laws.
Request by law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
Extended periods of inactivity (we will notify you before termination).
Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting support.
