REG Institute is an education platform published by REG Institute ("we", "us", "our"). The app provides Education Shorts, study materials (videos, PDFs, text notes), current affairs updates, quizzes, and personalized learning tools.

This privacy policy describes what information we collect when you use the REG Institute mobile app (Android), website, and associated services. By downloading, accessing, or using REG Institute, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

If you download PDFs or videos for offline viewing, those files are stored locally on your device. We do not access those local files; they remain under your control.

Analytics & crash reporting

We use analytics tools (e.g., Firebase Analytics) to understand which education shorts are most viewed, which PDFs are downloaded, and how current affairs features are used. Crashlytics helps us fix bugs rapidly.

Opt-out of personalized ads

You can opt out of personalized advertising anytime: Go to Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization. Alternatively, reset your Advertising ID. An in-app “Limit ad tracking” option will be added soon.

REG Institute includes links to external websites or embedded webviews for reference materials, current affairs deep-dives, or sample question banks. These third-party services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their data practices.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal data (account info, saved notes, study progress, current affairs bookmarks) as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. If you request account deletion, we will permanently delete your profile and associated data within 30–90 days, except where we are required to retain information for legal, security, or fraud prevention reasons (e.g., transaction records).

We implement reasonable security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure API endpoints, and restricted server access.
